Turkey Fact
The Thanksgiving presidential turkey pardon. It's a tradition, major newspapers have reported for years, that began in 1947 with President Harry S. Truman -- a sentimental reprieve from the man who had thumbs-upped two atomic bombs.
Thanksgiving Day Turkey Song: Come on all together...

O turkey dear O turkey dear
How lovely are thy feathers
O turkey dear O turkey dear
There could be nothing better!
We celebrate Thanksgiving Day
By putting your carcass on display.
O turkey dear O turkey dear
You thought we were friends who came to greet you.
O turkey dear O turkey dear
We gathered here to eat you!
O turkey day O turkey day
The family is all together
O turkey day O turkey day
We've over come bad weather
Seeing the family is so fab
We'll see ya'll again in rehab.
O turkey day O turkey day
We'll drink away your memory.

Some quotes
Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year. And then discover once a year is way too often.
Johnny Carson
I celebrated Thanksgiving in an old-fashioned way. I invited everyone in my neighborhood to my house, we had an enormous feast, and then I killed them and took their land.
Jon Stewart
"Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude."
-E.P. Powell
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
-John Fitzgerald Kennedy
"If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice."
-Meister Eckhart
"The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!"
-Henry Ward Beecher

“Praise God even when you don’t understand what He is doing.”
[Henry Jacobsen]
"If you want to turn your life around, try thankfulness. It will change your life mightily."
[Gerald Good]
Do not get tired of doing what is good.
Don't get discouraged and give up,
For we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.
- Galatians 6:9

La Pieta.

In the midst of war and strife, Lies a world full of human life, Suffering and pain, tears and cries, As the ground beneath them dies. Mothers weep and children cry, As bombs fall from the sky, Fathers lost and brothers gone, As the battle rages on. Innocent lives caught in the crossfire, As the hatred and anger conspire, Leaving behind a trail of destruction, And a world full of disruption. Yet amidst all this chaos and despair, There is still a glimmer of hope and care, For those who strive for peace and love, And look to the heavens above. Let us come together, hand in hand, And build a world that we can all understand, Where the sun shines on every face, And we all live in a world full of grace.

Have a laugh with funny quotes

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul. George Bernard Shaw        I am free of all prejudices. I hate every one equally. W. C. Groucho Marx Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.  Bill Cosby Human beings are the only creatures on earth that allow their children to come back home. Bill Cosby He taught me housekeeping; when I divorce I keep the house. Zsa Zsa Gabor A lot of people are afraid of heights. Not me, I'm afraid of widths. Not sick. Not wounded. Dead. Woody Allen I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens. Woody Allen I do...

"I Have Anxiety."

" I have Anxiety " ( feeling worried, nervousness, or unease, typically about imminent treats or something with an uncertain outcome.), these are phrases we hear every day, said casually in the course of conversations. Then there are those who live with the reality of anxiety on a daily bases, they try to cope with simple tasks like brushing their teeth, where every situation is an endeavor, the only invariable and certainty are the voices in their head telling them there is "danger". People with the disorder live there days hoping that they will be able to survive the next attack. They look like everyone else, they do not carry their fears and their panics on their face. They hold a mask they spend years to perfect, hoping not to be discovered and ostracized. This blog is not about the clinical aspect of this illness, it is about the daily struggles of those who live with anxiety/panic disorder.  I would like for the reader to have a basic understanding of what...
